ACTIVITIES
MENTORING
At Black River & Districts Rural Fire Brigade, we are dedicated to ensuring that as a professional vegetation firefighter you are not only provided with the knowledge to work effectively as part of the team but we ensure that our firefighters are mentored by those who have been through the process before and have gained valuable fireground experience. As part of a close knit team you are never alone.
TRAINING
The Rural Fire Service provides training based on the Public Safety Training Package and is Nationally Recognised.
The levels of training are determined by the current version of the Volunteer Learning & Development Framework and is aligned to the function that you may be required to perform.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
We try to recruit from within our brigade area and the Northern Beaches.
